Minutes after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget in the Parliament on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave his thoughts on the Budget, calling it the 'Budget of trust and hope'.
Addressing the people on social media Prime Minister said that the Budget 2019 is "Budget For New India" and is "one of hope", adding that it will boost India's development in the 21st century. He also added that the Budget 2019 will provide a roadmap to the transformation of the agricultural sector.
"I would like to congratulate Nirmala Sitharaman and her team over the development-friendly and future-oriented budget. This budget will give strength to the poor and youth will get better tomorrow. Though the medium of this budget, the middle class will get progress and speed up growth. This budget will simplify the tax system, modernize infrastructure. This budget will strengthen enterprises and enterprises, further enhance women's participation in the country. The Budget for New India has a roadmap to transform the agriculture sector of India. ," PM Modi said in his remarks over the Budget 2019.
PM Modi further spoke how in the next five years, the government will empower the poor-farmer-Dalit-suffering-deprived and tranform them into a powerhouse.
"The government took all-round measures to empower the poor-farmer-Dalit-suffering-deprived. Now, in the next five years, this empowerment will make them a powerhouse for the country's development. This powerhouse will provide the energy to fulfill the dream of $5 trillion economy of the county," he added.
