Amravati: Four People have died and around 30 others were injured after a private bus veered off a bridge on Monday in Maharashtra 's Amravati. The bus en route through hilly terrains, crashed after the driver lost control while navigating a curve.
Four people were killed and around 30 others injured after a private bus fell off a bridge in Melghat, Amravati district of Maharashtra , on Monday. The accident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle while navigating through the region’s hilly terrain.
According to Saurabh Katiyar, the Collector of Amravati, the injured passengers were immediately taken to the nearby Primary Health Centre in Semadoh for treatment. “Four people lost their lives in this unfortunate accident, and around 30 passengers have been injured. All the injured are currently receiving treatment at the nearby Primary Health Center in Semadoh,” Katiyar confirmed.
Emergency teams were quick to respond, with local authorities working to rescue passengers trapped in the wreckage. Many of the injured are reported to be in serious condition, and further medical assistance may be provided as needed.
The bus was travelling through Melghat, a region known for its narrow, winding roads, when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to plunge off the bridge. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, with initial reports suggesting that the difficult terrain and weather conditions may have contributed.
