8000 chickens catch fire under mysterious circumstances, burnt to death in Himachal farm | WATCH

Hamirpur: In a strange incident, at least 8,000 hens were burnt to death in Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur district. The weird incident took place at a poultry farm of a person identified as Jagtap Singh, who hails from the Dulchehra Panchayat in Hamirpur district development block. According to local reports, there were around 12 thousand hens and chickens in the farm. At least 8,000 were scorched to death.
The fire brigade soon rushed to the spot after the incident. A small part of the farm also caught fire. The team managed to extinguish the fire, preventing further damage. According to local authorities, the extent of the damage is still being investigated. After probing the cause, a detailed report will be sent to the higher authorities, added the official.
