Agra Student Posts Obscene Video of Teacher on Instagram, Blackmails Her; 4 Detained

Agra: Police detained four students for circulating an obscene video of a school teacher on social media. A resident of Agra, the teacher taught at a school in Mathura. She used to gave extra classes to a Agra-based Class 10 student, who was weak in studies.

According to police, over a period of time, the student grew closer to the teacher and recorded an obscene video featuring the teacher on his mobile phone. He then blackmailed her into maintaining a physical relationship, the police said.

Media reports citing Agra police suggested that the matter worsened when the teacher started maintaining a distance with the student, hence blocking his number. This move by teacher further angered the student, prompting him to share the obscene video wth three of his friends in his village.

Reports claimed that the students didn't stop after this and went on to share the video on WhatsApp with more people and also created a dedicated page on Instagram to share the video.

Distressed over the incident, the teacher went to the Mission Shakti Abhiyan centre where she confided in them and told them about having suicidal thoughts post the incident. Thereafter, she decided to approach the police.

The age of all the four detained students is not known yet. Subsequently, police registerd a case in this regard and nabbed the accused.
