Amit Shah Makes Big Claim, Says India Will Be Naxalite Free By March 2026
The Union Home Minister has said that the country will be naxalite free by March 2026 as top commanders have been neutralised by security forces.
Raipur: Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday made a big claim saying India will be Naxalite-free country by March 2026 as their major commanders have been neutralised by the security forces.
Addressing a presser in Raipur, Amit Shah said, “Today,I had a meeting with the DGPs and chief secretaries. 17,000 people have died due to naxal attacks in the country. When we came into power, we decided to either make them surrender and reintegrate them into the mainstream or engage with them directly.”
The top 14 naxal leaders have been neutralised and we have tried to establish the rule of law in affected areas. We feel satisfied when people get Aadhaar cards and Ayushman cards in the tribal areas. The government has opened 2796 bank branches in 24 districts.
There has been a 70 per cent reduction in the killings of security forces, however, the left-wing extremism is the biggest threat to us, Amit Shah said.
"100 per cent saturation of Central government and Chhattisgarh government's schemes in the naxal affected areas, progress of infrastructure projects in such areas and to remove the challenges faced during such projects, this meeting was for that... Time has come to carry out the final assault along with ruthless politics to tackle leftism and naxalism...," Amit Shah said.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah attends an Inter-state coordination meeting with CM Vishnu Deo Sai, Chief Secretaries and Director Generals of Police of Chhattisgarh and neighbouring states.
