Bengal Horror: 8-Year-Old Tribal Girl Molested by 72-Year-Old Man in Salanpur Village

Salanpur: An 8-year-old tribal girl in the Dabar village of Salanpur, West Bengal was molested by a 72-year-old man. This case of molestation comes amid the massive protests and backlash being faced by the Mamata-led government over the RG Kar Rape and Murder Case.

8-Year-Old Tribal Girl Molested by 72-Year-Old Man

There is tension in Dabar village of Salanpur Police Station due to allegations of molestation of an eight-year-old girl. 

The residents of the village have alleged that a 72-year-old man from the village lured an eight-year-old tribal girl and assaulted her. 

Molestation Incident Sparks Protest, Locals Demand Strict Action

The people of the tribal community erupted in anger at this allegation. The girl's family and tribal people of the village staged a huge protest around the accused person's house. 

When the situation escalated, a large police force reached the spot. Later, the police somehow rescued the accused from the hands of the agitated tribal people. 

Written Complaint Registered, Accused Arrested

 A written complaint of the entire incident was filed at the Rupnarayanpur Police Outpost of Salanpur Police Station. Police have arrested the accused person named Subodh Mahata of Dabar village.

Abhaya Rape and Murder Case

This incident has been reported a little less than a month after the horrific rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in the early hours of August 9. 

The 31-year-old doctor who was on a 36-hour shift, had gone to rest in the seminar room of the hospital when she was brutally raped and murdered.

Sanjoy Roy, the main accused in the Kolkata Rape and Murder Case is currently under custody and the case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The former principal of the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Sandip Ghosh is also under radar and the parents of the victim suspect foul play.
