‘Bhayanak washrooms,’ says Jaya Bachchan after walking out of Parliament
"Our washrooms are terrible," Jaya Bachchan said after she walked out of the Rajya Sabha in protest against the suspensions
New Delhi: After 141 MPs were suspended from the Parliament, Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Jaya Bachchan brought up the issue of dirty washrooms. Amid a slew of suspensions from the Parliament, Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan highlighted a slightly different kind of problem being faced by the Opposition parliamentarians who haven't been suspended, yet. "Hamara washroom itna bhayanak hai (our washrooms are terrible)," Bachchan said after she walked out of the Rajya Sabha in protest against the suspensions.
She further accused Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar of preventing her from speaking.
"We have been trying to speak since morning. The Leader of the House has said that we will see how much patience you have. The House proceedings will go on till 11 pm tonight. They take water and loo breaks every five minutes. Even our washrooms are terrible," she told a news channel.
