Doda District Magistrate Harvinder Singh said that the Mega Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) festival is being held across the district.
"Mega Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) festival is being organised across various areas in the district for the elections on September 18. We all participated in the bike rally. Nukkad nataks and other events by school children are also being organised under SVEEP to spread voter awareness among people so that more and more people cast votes on September 18," Singh was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
The elections in Jammu and Kashmir are scheduled to take place on September 18, September 25, and October 1, with the counting set for October 8. The first phase of the Assembly elections will cover 8 Assembly seats across three districts—Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban—with voting for these seats occurring on September 18.
