Mumbai: A three-storey building in Shahbaz Village in Navi Mumbai collapsed on Saturday morning amid heavy rain.
While a lot of residents have been rescued, two people are dead and some are feared to be trapped; rescue operations are underway.
According to a fire-fighter, they received an alert about the building collapse at 4:50 AM today. 52 people have already rescued, rescue work is underway and two people have also been admitted to the hospital.
The building was ten years old and action will be taken against the owner.
The firefighter said that the two people who were trapped, have been taken out alive.
Several other people are feared missing and rescue operations are underway.
Two have died in the building collapse and his body has been recovered.
