Thiruvananthapuram: The health administration in Kerala has mandated mask usage as the state deals with an epidemic and a rising H1N1 scare, particularly in the landslide-affected region of Wayanad.  At present, masks are compulsory within hospitals and care centres.

In a bid to control the situation, the Health Department has issued strict instructions for the general public to wear masks. Health officials and volunteers are actively disseminating these directives, stressing the importance of adherence to the guidelines.
