Surankote: Amid heavy rainfall in North India, a massive landslide has been reported in the Bhata Dhuriya area of Surankote. The landslide has disrupted traffic on the Poonch-Jammu National Highway and because of this, travellers are also stranded.

A major landslide has been reported in the Bhata Dhuriya area of Surankote; long queues of vehicles, both large and small, piled up on both sides of the landslide site.

The landslide in the Bhata Dhuriya area of Surankote has disrupted traffic on the Poonch-Jammu National Highway, leaving travelers stranded.
A massive landslide blocked the Poonch-Jammu National Highway for two hours, severely disrupting traffic.
In another news, the Badrinath National Highway was blocked due to the heavy rain and an alternative route was also issued for the travellers. The post by Chamoli Police reads, “The Badrinath National Highway is blocked at Lambagad, Nandprayag, Sonala and Barrage Kunj. The diverted route between Sakot-Nandprayag has also been blocked.” A little later, on its social media platform, Chamoli Police issued an update saying that the blocked portions of the Badrinath National Highway have now been cleared and the traffic is now passing by smoothly.
