Trump Safe After Secret Service Opens Fire at Suspect With Firearm Near His Golf Club
US Secret Service agents opened fire after seeing a person with a firearm near Trump's golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, while the Republican presidential candidate was golfing Sunday, according to two law enforcement officials. No injuries were reported.
The person fled in an SUV and was later apprehended in a nearby county by local law enforcement, the officials said. The officials were not authorised to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity about an ongoing investigation.
The incident comes roughly two months after an assassination attempt on Trump's life at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

Trump Safe After Shots Reported in His Vicinity in Florida, Secret Service and Campaign Say
Donald Trump was safe after gunshots were reported in his vicinity Sunday afternoon in Florida, his campaign and the Secret Service said.
It was not immediately clear whether the reported shots were targeted at the Republican presidential nominee. The US Secret Service said it was investigating and that the incident occurred shortly before 2 pm. “The former president is safe,” according to the Secret Service.
Roughly two months ago, Trump was shot during an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania, and a bullet grazed his ear. Trump had returned to Florida this weekend from a West Coast swing that included a Friday night rally in Las Vegas and a Utah fundraiser.
The campaign did not immediately provide any additional details. No injuries were reported, according to a spokesperson for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office in Florida.

Delhi Congress Chief Terms Kejriwal’s Decision to Resign as 'Political Drama'
Delhi Congress president Devender Yadav on Sunday said Arvind Kejriwal’s decision to resign as chief minister is a “political drama” as the Supreme Court has already imposed restrictions on him. Yadav said that Kejriwal had lost his moral right to continue as CM as he was sent to jail on corruption charges and he should have tendered his resignation six months ago.
“This looks like a political drama as the Supreme Court has already imposed restrictions on him,” Yadav said and demanded that a new chief minister should be appointed as soon as possible.
Delhi's people are “aware" and they will "give an answer” to the Aam Aadmi Party’s misgovernance in the assembly elections, he said.
As per conditions imposed by the apex court, Kejriwal cannot visit his office at the secretariat or sign any official file.
In an address to AAP workers on Sunday, Kejriwal said he will resign after two days and would demand early polls in Delhi as he vowed not to sit in CM’s chair till people give him a “certificate of honesty”.

Confession of Crime: BJP on Kejriwal Announcing to Resign as Delhi CM
The BJP on Sunday described Arvind Kejriwal's announcement to resign as Delhi chief minister as a "confession of crime" and wondered if he offered to quit because of infighting within AAP.
It also termed Kejriwal's move a "drama" and claimed he was playing an "emotional card" in a bid to make a virtue out of necessity as the Supreme Court, by granting him "conditional bail" in the excise policy case, restricted him from entering his office and signing any files.
"When Arvind Kejriwal talked about resigning, it became a confession of his crime. He accepted that the charges levelled against him were such that he could not continue as chief minister," BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said during a press conference at the party headquarters.
He also wondered why Kejriwal did not resign when he was arrested in connection with the alleged scam.
"Him talking about resigning and demanding early polls in Delhi after coming out of jail on bail raises suspicion," Trivedi said. "Could it be that there is some conflict going on within his party due to which he feels that it will be difficult to handle it now?" The BJP leader said that, contrary to his character, Kejriwal was "speaking nonsense".

Clapping, Dancing to Music Won't Lead to Success: TMC MLA on Doctors' Stir
A ruling Trinamool Congress MLA on Sunday courted controversy by lashing out at the movement of doctors and people on the RG Kar issue, saying that "mere clapping and dancing to slogans accompanied by music beat will not lead to success".
Agitating doctors strongly opposed the remarks, saying it was a people's movement and should not be trivialised.
Rajarhat-New Town MLA Tapas Chatterjee, during a meeting in his locality, was heard saying in a purported video, "Clapping and dancing to disco beats will not make any movement successful. A true movement is marked by more serious activities." PTI could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.
The ongoing protests demanding justice for a woman medic who was allegedly raped and murdered at state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in north Kolkata, are marked by sloganeering, street plays and collective singing of songs.
