Suspected Terrorist Arrested by NIA from Bengaluru Airport, Key Accused in TN Hizb-ut-Tharir Case
A suspected terrorist and key accused in the Tamil Nadu Hizb-ut-Tharir Case has been nabbed by NIA officials at the Bengaluru Airport before he could escape.
Bengaluru: A suspected terrorist has been nabbed by the NIA officials from the Bengaluru Airport on Friday.
The suspected terrorist is also a key accused in the Tamil Nadu Hizb-ut-Tharir Case.
Suspected Terrorist Nabbed by NIA at Bengaluru Airport
Accused in the Hizb-ut-Tharir case, the suspected terrorist had planned to escape on a Saudi Airlines flight at 11.45 am yesterday but was nabbed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.
Recognised as Aziz Ahmed, the terrorist was arrested while escaping from the airport to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The arrest was made on the basis of information provided by immigration officials.
The suspected terrorist and his wife arrived at the Kempegowda Airport; the wife of the suspected militant had come to lodge a complaint as soon as the suspect was taken into custody.
The woman had lodged a missing complaint with her husband at kempegowda airport police station.
The wife of the suspected militant had complained that her husband was forcibly taken away by unknown persons.
On the basis of his wife's complaint, the police received information that the NIA team had called him; Kempegowda Airport police received information from immigration officials.
