5 of Family Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki

Barabanki: A child was among the five people of the same family killed a multi-vehicle collision in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki late on Thursday night. Three of the injured people are said to be in critical condition. 

The accident left three people dead on the spot, while two others died during treatment as locals conducted a rescue operation. 

The tragic incident unfolded after a speeding car hit two other vehicles on Lucknow-Mahboobabad Highway post around midnight. 

According to media reports, a Lucknow-bound car first hit an autorickshaw and then rammed into another car which was approaching towards it.The intensity od the crash wa such that the car fell inot the nearby pond. The car which fell into the pons only had driver inside whose condition said to be stable.

Reports suggest that all the deceased include passengers of the autorickshaw. It is learnt that all the victims were heading to attend a relative's funeral.

The deceased have been identified as Irfan, Wahidun Nisha, Aziz Ahmed (alias Buddhu), Tahira Bano, and Sabreen. The car driver has been identified as Vivek.
