Faridabad police arrests 36 including 7 women for extorting money from foreign nationals
A senior police official said that the fake call centre was being operated in a market located in Faridabad Sector-31.

As many as 36 persons were arrested by the Faridabad police for operating a fake call centre and duping foreign nationals. The accused were cheating foreign nationals by posing themselves as an employee of an American bank.
A senior police official said that the fake call centre was being operated in a market located in Faridabad Sector-31. The arrested accused, including seven females, are being interrogated by the police.
Police making efforts to nab the mastermind
During the interrogation, the accused revealed that they used to extort heavy amounts of money from the victims in the name of providing them technical assistance for their bank account.
The police had received a secret input about the said call centre being operated in Faridabad. Based on the information, a police raiding party was constituted and a raid was conducted at the premises, where the call centre was being operated.
During the raid, all the accused including women were arrested and computers and laptops along with other items were seized. The accused are mostly residents of Delhi, Manipur and Faridabad.
The police official added that a case has been registered at Sector 31 police station and efforts are being made to nab the mastermind of the entire racket.
