New Delhi: Delhi Police on Friday recovered the body of a 17-year-old boy with injury marks on his body, from a park in Malviya Nagar in south Delhi. The victim was identified as Vivek, a resident of Indra Camp, Begumpur. According to sources, the teen was murdered in the city by six of his friends using knives and bricks.

One of the accused lured Vivek, for a drink, took him to Satpula Park while he was intoxicated, and the remaining five accused attacked him with two knives and bricks upon his arrival, resulting in fatal wounds to his face, neck, chest, and stomach.

A police official said that a PCR call was received at 7.30 am on Friday which led the police to Satpula Park, where they found Vivek's body with visible injuries to his face, neck, chest, and stomach.

Three minors have been taken into custody and are undergoing questioning. During interrogation, it was revealed that the crime was plotted by one of the accused, who held a grudge against Vivek due to a previous argument.

Vivek had reportedly beaten him up a few months ago. The minor, who had been holding a grudge against Vivek since then, attacked him along with his friends, police said.

Vivek had apparently misled his family about meeting his father on Thursday, and when he failed to return, his family tried to dial him several times but to no avail. His family discovered the tragic news the next morning when the police arrived at their house with photos of his body.
