'Jealous' man stabs minor boy for talking with his ex-girlfriend in Indore

Indore: A youth was arrested for allegedly attacking a minor boy with a knife after he spotted the latter talking to his ex-girlfriend at her place in Madhya Pradesh's Indore on December 25. The 17-year-old school student sustained injuries on his thigh and hand. According to police, the incident took place at the Mahalaxmi Nagar area of the city. The minor student filed a complaint with the police in connection with the matter.
In his complaint, he told police that he had gone to meet a girl, who is his friend, at her place on Monday and while he was talking to the girl, the accused named Neeraj Bangare, came there and an argument broke out between them. Following which, he threatened and stabbed him using a knife, leaving him with injuries on his hand and thigh. The victim said that the Azad Nagar area resident attacked him with “an intention of killing him.” He said he somehow managed to flee from the scene.
The complainant informed the police that Neeraj is the ex-boyfriend of the girl and he did not want her to talk with anyone. After committing the crime, the accused fled from the scene when the girl started crying out for help. The minor was rushed to a hospital where he was given first aid. Police registered a case under Section 307 of the IPC and subsequently, Neeraj was arrested on Tuesday.
