New Delhi: A massive fire erupted at a factory in east Delhi's Gandhi Nagar area on Tuesday morning, said officials adding that the fire service was informed at 9.55 am and five fire tenders were pressed into service.
Delhi and its adjoining areas are witnessing a spike in number of fire-related accidents. The experts said that increased temperature, heatwave conditions and intense hot wind are the main reasons behind such incidents.
On Sunday, a massive fire erupted in a factory in Delhi's Mundka Industrial Area, prompting as many as 35 fire tenders to rush to the spot to douse the blaze. The visuals showed firemen trying to control the massive blaze with water cannons.
On Saturday, a fire broke out in Ghaziabad's Tronica City industrial area. The fire had engulfed a packaging factory in the city, adjacent to the national capital. Around 24 fire tenders brought the blaze under control.
