Elderly Man Brutally Killed At His Shop In Hyderabad

An elderly man was found killed at his battery repairs shop at Hyderabad's Begum Bazaar on Sunday morning.

Hyderabad: A 70-year-old man was found murdered at his shop at Begum Bazaar on Sunday morning. The victim, identified as Hakeem (70), a resident of Moghalpura, ran a battery repairs shop at Feelkhana Begum Bazaar. On Saturday night, he didn’t return and his son Khaleel came to the shop this morning and found Hakeem lying dead in a pool of blood.

“Some persons had repeatedly hit the man on his head with a tool leading to his death. Efforts are on to identify and arrest the assailant,” said an official of Begum Bazaar police station.

The police clues team visited the spot and collected some material. A tracker dog was also surmounted to assist the investigators. A case is registered.

In another incident, a man killed his father over a property issue at Mailardevpally on Saturday night.

S Kistappa, a native of Yadgiri district of Karnataka stayed along with his wife and son at Pragathi colony for the last few years. There were some issues pertaining to ancestral land between Kistappa and his son, Mahender (24).

“Mahender wanted his father to sell the land and give him money but the latter did not agree to it. On Saturday night, an argument ensued between them and in a fit of rage, Mahender killed his father,” said Mailardevpally Inspector, P Narendar.

Further legal action into the matter is being taken.
