'Free ki Revri Reach US...': Arvind Kejriwal Reacts to Donald Trump's Half Electricity Price Promise

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal recently reacted to former US President Donald Trump 's recent announcement about reducing the price of energy and electricity by "half within 12 months."

The former Delhi Chief Minister in a post on X shared a video of the Republican presidential candidate with the caption, "Trump has announced that he will reduce electricity rates by half. Free ki revri reach US..."

This comes as Trump during a speech at the Detroit Economic Club on Thursday pledged to cut the price of energy and electricity.

"I will cut the price of energy and electricity in half within 12 months. We will seriously expedite our environmental approvals and quickly double our electricity capacity. This will drive down inflation, and make America and Michigan the best place on earth to build a factory," he said in a post on X.

Furthermore, AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chaddha also reacted to Trump's post, saying, "Trump’s 50% off on electricity bills shows how Arvind Kejriwal has set the benchmark for governance globally! His governance model—affordable electricity, free water, quality healthcare, and free world class education—is a shining example of welfarism done right. The world takes notice."

As the US presidential elections near, candidates have taken their political campaigns up a notch to woo voters.

As a part of his pitch during an election campaign rally in Michigan, Trump had announced that he would reduce the prices of energy and electricity through the means of capacity expansion.

He further added that under his presidency, the government would also expedite environmental approvals and increase electricity production by over 100 per cent.
