Major train accident averted in Rajasthan after Jodhpur-Palanpur train derails, passengers safe

Rajasthan: A passenger train was derailed in the wee hours of Monday, December 25. 

As per information received, the Jodhpur-Palanpur passenger train derailed between Balotra and Samdari in Rajasthan. The quick-thinking locomotive pilot averted the accident, which could have led to loss of life or injuries among the passengers.

Railway officials immediately reached the spot and looked into it.

As per initial reports, all the passengers and railway crew on Jodhpur-Palanpur passenger train are safe. No casualties have been reported in the accident.
