In a gruesome incident, murderers live-stream the killing of Akshay Kumar on Instagram, showcasing the crime and boasting about it in Samba district.

Jammu:  In a disturbing incident, the perpetrators of a murder in the Ramgarh area of Samba district chose to broadcast their crime live on Instagram. The killers, after fatally attacking a 24-year-old local youth named Akshay Kumar, proceeded to film a six-minute live video on the social media platform and were seen roaming with the severed hand. 

During the broadcast, the assailants brandished weapons, displayed the victim's severed hand, and even fired shots in air. The police, despite the live evidence, are yet to make any arrests involved in the shocking murder. The incident was reported on the late evening of December 25.

Six-minute Instagram Live; no fear of Police

In an Instagram live of roughly around six minutes, the killers were seen roaming in the outskirts of Samba along with their weapons and 'hand' of victim Akshay. The killers even boasted about the killing and fired multiple rounds in the air which police believes are weapons of crime. According to the police, the killers believe to have travelled in a hatchback car to escape from crime spot. During the probe the police found out that the the live was done from an Instagram account named 'Abbu Jatt'. identification of three alleged killers have been established along with one other associate's of the gang based on the Instagram live, police added.

The police has identified the accused as Abbu, Shunnu, and their another associate Shikku. Speaking to Republic, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that investigation is underway in the case and teams have been formed to nab the accused. "We are investigating the matter and when arrests will be made, we will be letting you know. Our teams are on the ground," he added.
