Viral video: Reckless driving incident in Manali prompts swift action from Kullu Police

The long weekend of Christmas is in the flow and Manali, like every time, is witnessing a surge in tourist count, amidst all this a video has gained traction on social media. In this viral video a man is driving a car with its both front doors open and head waving out. This video has sparked anger on social media with users asking heavy penalties for the driver.

The viral video captures the individual navigating a busy Manali street with one door ajar, while another person hangs precariously from the opposite side. In response to the circulating clip, a user named Shubham pleaded, ''Kindly don't create menace. Manali - Solang - Atal Tunnel.''

Following the video's viral spread, the Kullu Police took action, as revealed in a Facebook post. The authorities issued a challan of Rs 3500/- to the specific vehicle under the Traffic Act.

Social media users expressed their disagreement for the reckless behavior showcased in the video. One angry user wrote, "Who do they think they are! In a Bollywood film?!"

Another user commented, "These are not tourists; they are criminals and must be treated accordingly."

A call for stricter measures was synced  in a comment stating, "The driving license of the driver should have been canceled by the authorities."

The viral post drew further criticism with a user noting, "Made a joke of driving. These drivers and passengers are our road hazards."

As the Christmas and New Year celebration is approaching, there has been a noticeable increase in tourist activity in Kullu and Manali.
