Sonipat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday slammed Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's alleged involvement in the MUDA (Mysuru Urban Development Authority) scam, accusing the Congress party of being deeply entrenched in corruption. Speaking at a rally in Sonipat, Haryana , just before the state assembly elections, Modi pointed out various failures of Congress, particularly focusing on the MUDA scam linked to Siddaramaiah.

Modi emphasized the need for a BJP government in Haryana , stating, "What kind of government should there be in Haryana? A BJP government that promotes industries is essential in Haryana. A BJP government that encourages job creation is necessary in Haryana." He further claimed, "Because you know that wherever the central government has come and Congress has had a chance, wherever Congress has set foot, one thing is certain: corruption, corruption, corruption; nepotism, nepotism, nepotism."

He criticised the Congress party, stating, "In India's governmental system, the breeding ground for corruption is none other than the Congress party. The Congress's royal family is the most corrupt family in the country." Modi warned that when the top leadership is corrupt, it allows for “open loot.”

Discussing the situation in Karnataka, he said, "It has only been two years, and just look at the Congress government in Karnataka. The Chief Minister is facing accusations of a land scam." He pointed out that the High Court called for a proper investigation into the matter.

Reflecting on Congress 's past governance, Modi noted, "Ten years ago when there was a Congress government here, the farmers' lands were looted. The Congress had handed over Haryana to Dalals and Damads." He asserted that corruption was rampant during their rule, stating, "There was no job which could be attained without cheating, and there was no organization free of corruption."

Modi also criticised Congress for neglecting marginalized communities, stating, "Congress has always kept SC/ST/OBC away from participation. It was Baba Saheb Ambedkar who gave reservation to Dalits, otherwise like OBC, Dalits would also have to wait for Congress' defeat for reservation." He claimed that whenever Congress was in power, it deprived these communities of their rights.

He reiterated his view that Congress is the most corrupt party, stating, "There is no party more corrupt than the Congress. You also know that wherever Congress got the chance, wherever it set foot, corruption and nepotism are certain there."

Regarding agricultural reforms under the BJP , Modi noted, "The BJP government in Haryana has decided to give MSP for 24 crops, but when the Congress was here, it hated to buy crops on MSP." He encouraged farmers to recognize the truth about Congress's policies.

Modi also spoke about the economic and infrastructure progress in Haryana , stating, "Today, the big companies of the world are eager to invest in India and set up their factories here." He emphasized that this investment would benefit the youth and farmers of Haryana.

He praised Haryana 's contributions to national achievements, saying, "Haryana is the medal factory of India." He announced plans to build small nurseries for Olympic training in each district to support local youth in international competitions.

Haryana will vote on October 5, with results for both Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir expected on October 8.
