Moga: 4 people crushed to death after tipper truck overturns on car, tragic video emerges

Moga, Punjab: At least four members of a family including a newly married person were killed in a road accident in Punjab’s Moga on Friday. The tragic incident took place when an overspeeding truck, loaded with stones, lost control and overturned into the family's car. 

The car was crushed underneath the weight of the truck, leading to the death of family members. News agency ANI has also shared a video of the mishap revealing the extent of damage. 

Speaking to Republic TV, DSP Manjit Singh said, "Family came here to attend the wedding party, and when they were returning to their home the accident took place. Police rushed to the accident spot immediately and took the family to a nearby hospital. Later, a crane was also pressed into service to lift the truck."

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accident took place because of over-speeding. Further probe is underway.
