Mumbai-Doha IndiGo Flight Delayed by Over 5 Hours, Passengers Fume
IndiGo flight 6E1303 to Doha from Mumbai has been delayed by over five hours; the stranded passengers are fuming and the airline is yet to issue a statement.
Mumbai: Passengers travelling to Doha from Mumbai on the IndiGo flight 6E1303 have been fuming as the flight has been delayed by over five hours due to a technical failure; the airline is yet to issue a statement regarding the same.
Mumbai-Doha IndiGo Flight Delayed By Over 5 Hours
An IndiGo flight to Doha from Mumbai by the flight number 6E1303, which was scheduled to take off at 3:55 am, has been delayed by over five hours; the passengers have been fuming; no statement has been issued by the airline, so far. According to the passengers, they were made to wait in the aircraft for over five hours and were then asked to deboard the plane.
The delay was credited to a technical snag and the passengers were made to wait at the immigration waiting area of the Mumbai Airport; 250-300 passengers were reportedly stranded at the Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
IndiGo Issues Statement
As per a spokesperson of the airline, “IndiGo flight 6E 1303 operating from Mumbai to Doha was delayed due to a technical reason. Our airport team immediately provided assistance to the affected customers and provided refreshments and necessary arrangements. The aircraft tried to depart for its destination a couple of times but had to finally be called off due to the extended time lag on account of various procedural delays. The customers are being provided hotels and are being rebooked as per their final destination. IndiGo sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused to its customers.”
