'My Relation With Kejriwal Is of Ram-Laxman,' says AAP leader Manish Sisodia
Manish Sisodia likened his bond with Arvind Kejriwal to Ram and Laxman, asserting no "Ravan" (BJP) can separate them.
Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia on Sunday dubbed his relationship with the party's national convener Arvind Kejriwal as that of Lord Ram and Laxman and lashed at the BJP saying no "Ravan" can separate them.
Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia said that his relationship with former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kerjriwal was that of Lord Ram and Laxman and also targeted BJP and said that no “Ravan” can separate both of them.
In reply the Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva hit back and said, Sisodia was the "king of drama" and was trying to portray himself as Laxman ahead of Ramlila next month.
At Kejriwal's first 'Janta ki Adalat' rally at Jantar Mantar after resigning as Delhi chief minister, Sisodia claimed that the BJP aimed to separate him from Arvind Kejriwal , stating, "No Ravan can separate Laxman from Lord Ram." He pledged to support Kejriwal in his fight against what he described as a dictatorship.
Sisodia further asserted that he wouldn't accept the roles of deputy chief minister or education minister unless he received a certificate of honesty from the people. Kejriwal, who recently stepped down, indicated he would return to office only after facing a "trial by fire" and earning the public's trust.
In his critique of the BJP , Sisodia recounted his past, stating that when he was a journalist, he bought a small house for Rs 5 lakh in 2002, while having Rs 10 lakh in his bank account, which was later seized. He mentioned that his son is in college and that he had to seek financial help for his fees due to the ED freezing his accounts. Sisodia alleged he was pressured to join the BJP after his incarceration related to the excise policy case.
In response, the Delhi BJP chief dismissed Sisodia's claims as "laughable," questioning the timing of his allegations so long after his release from jail.
