NSG Personnel Shoots Self To Death Inside Barrack At NSG Sudarshan Camp Near Delhi Airport
An NSG personnel allegedly died by suicide by shooting himself inside his barrack at the NSG Sudarshan Camp near Shiv Murti in the IGI Airport police area.
New Delhi: A National Security Guard (NSG) personnel allegedly died by suicide by shooting himself inside his barrack at the NSG Sudarshan Camp near Shiv Murti under the IGI Airport police station area. According to the police, the incident was reported on Tuesday, following which the police rushed to the spot, where the NSG personnel, identified as Narender Singh Bhandari (31), was found dead in the barrack. Bhandari had joined the NSG on deputation from the Army.
The IGI Airport police shifted the body to the mortuary of a hospital for post-mortem.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP, IGI Airport police), Usha Rangnani, the incident took place on November 5, when a PCR call reported a suicide incident at the NSG Sudarshan Camp near Shiv Murti.
“Upon receiving the information, police personnel promptly arrived at the location, where the body of Narender Singh Bhandari, 31 years, an NSG staff member on deputation from the Army, was found inside his barrack,” DCP Rangnani stated.
As per the police official, the preliminary inquiry suggested that the deceased sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Forensic and mobile Crime teams examined the scene and collected evidence.
Further investigation is being carried out by the IGI Airport police.
