A passenger's questionable behavior has stirred up a heated debate on social media platforms. The controversy unfolded when a video documenting the entire journey, from boarding to dining, revealed a passenger sleeping with his foot on the train's snack tray.  

The incident has caught the attention of Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer Ananth Rupanagudi and the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Salem, Tamil Nadu. 

The controversy began when a concerned individual shared a screenshot on social media, highlighting the passenger's lack of etiquette. The post tagged IRAS officer Ananth Rupanagudi and DRM Salem, drawing their attention to the inconsiderate act. 

The IRAS officer urged passengers to "travel responsibly" on trains and emphasized the importance of using fittings for their intended purpose. Rupanagudi, quoting the tweet, stated, "Please use the fittings for the purpose they are meant for. 

Rupanagudi's tweet has gained significant traction on social media platforms, engaged over 162.1k views within a day. Many users not only engaged with the tweet but also shared their thoughts on the passenger's behavior.  

The incident has sparked a broader conversation about the need for responsible and considerate behavior while traveling on public transportation.
