Peace With Pakistan Only If Terrorism Stops: Rajnath Singh in Jammu & Kashmir
Rajnath Singh pointed out the challenges posed by Pakistan's alleged support for terrorism.
Rajouri: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized India's commitment to fostering peaceful relations with its neighbors, including Pakistan . While addressing a rally in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri on Sunday, he stated, "We have a principle that if we want to live peacefully, we should have good relations with our neighbours."
However, Singh pointed out the challenges posed by Pakistan 's alleged support for terrorism, remarking, "How can it happen that they keep increasing terrorism and we keep good relations with them?"
He asserted that any dialogue with Pakistan would hinge on the country's commitment to halt terrorist activities targeting India.
"If they guarantee that they will not launch terrorism on Indian soil, we are ready to have a dialogue with them," Singh declared, highlighting the government's stance that security concerns must be addressed before meaningful discussions can take place.
