Power Cut in Patna and Gaya on Sep 16: Know List of Affected Areas and Timings

South Bihar Power Distribution Company has announced that several areas of Bihar's Patna and Gaya will experience power cuts on Monday (September 16).

Patna: The South Bihar Power Distribution Company has announced that several areas of Bihar 's Patna and Gaya will experience power cuts on Monday (September 16) as part of scheduled repair and maintenance work. The electricity board stated that the areas will face electricity disruptions for a few hours, which may cause inconvenience to the residents. 

Areas in Patna Affected by Power Cuts

In Patna, several areas will experience power cuts between 11 AM and 2 PM. According to the electricity department, the affected regions include:

  • Near Churi Market
  • Doman Bhagat Lane
  • Thakurbari Road
  • Jahaji Kothi
  • Amanwa Kothi
  • Shiv Mandir Gali
  • Rajendra Path
  • Devisthan
  • Near Rajdhani Market

Apart from this, from 10 AM to 1 PM, the following areas will also experience power disruptions:

  • From Munnachak to Kankarbagh Main Road
  • Near Orange Inn Hotel
  • Parvati Path

The Maharani Colony, Zero Mile, and Pahadi areas will see power outages from 11 AM to 2 PM.

Power Disruption in Gaya

In Gaya, power will be disrupted in urban and rural parts of Manpur on Monday. The Junior Engineer of the South Bihar Power Distribution Company, Vishal Kumar, informed that the maintenance work involves repairs to a 33 kV power pole at the Gere substation.

Due to these repairs, electricity supply from the Gere Power House to urban and rural Manpur will be interrupted from 11 AM to 4 PM. The affected areas include:

  • Manpur
  • Kukra
  • Gere village
  • Alipur
  • Khanjahapur
  • Sekhabigha
  • Pehani
  • Bara
  • Lodipur
  • Rasuna

Along with the repair work, tree branches near the power poles will also be cut and cleared to avoid future disruptions. The outages are necessary for the maintenance of power lines and infrastructure, ensuring smoother operations in the future.
