A clash between two groups allegedly erupted in Rajasthan’s Ajmer on Sunday resulting in the death of one person and injuring several others.

The clash occurred over construction on a land piece, which led to massive vandalism in the Roopangarh area. On information, the Ajmer police rushed to the spot and the situation was brought under control. It is alleged that gunshots were also fired during the clash between the two groups.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar, the confrontation arose over a dispute related to the construction of a shop. The altercation escalated as both groups attacked each other with sticks and rods, leading to one side opening fire.
Heavy Deployment Security Force Has Been Ensured To Deal With Any Untoward Incident: Ajmer Police
The deceased has been identified as Shakeel Langa, who suffered fatal bullet wounds during the gunshots firing. Another individual, identified as Narayan Kumawat, was injured and was transferred to another hospital in Ajmer for treatment.
According to the sources, the clash also resulted in vandalism, with vehicles damaged and a JCB machine set ablaze. In response, police have deployed additional forces to the area to ensure law and order are maintained.
According to the police, the clash erupted between the two groups over construction work on a plot in the Roopangarh area, which reportedly belonged to a particular community. One group opposed the construction, alleging that the sarpanch had wrongfully leased the land.
The dispute quickly escalated, and both sides allegedly attacked each other with sticks and rods. During the violence, one side opened fire, resulting in the death of a young man, Shakeel Langa, according to police officials.
The incident has led to tension in the area, and additional security forces have been deployed. The police have also launched a manhunt to apprehend those involved in the violence.
