Mathura: The newly sworn Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Tuesday offered his prayers at the Giriraj Parikrama Marg Shrinathji temple.
The Chief Minister also offered prayers at Puchri ka Lota Temple in Govardhan.
However, this comes as the newly Rajasthan-designated CM met with an accident on the same day earlier, as his car veered off the road and got stuck in a sewer on the side of the road.
As per reports, no injuries have been reported.
The mishap occurred near the Punchari Ka Lautha, close to the UP border, as CM was travelling to Govardhan Giriraj.
During his visit, Sharma took a tea break where he brewed and enjoyed his tea.
Rajasthan went to the polls for 199 of the 200 assembly seats on November 25. Sharma won the election race with an impressive margin, securing 1,45,162 votes against his Congress rival Pushpendra Bhardwaj who scored 97,081 votes.
Hailing from Bharatpur, Sharma is considered to be close to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the foundation head of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
