New Delhi: Two days before the visionary industrialist and philanthropist, Ratan Tata, passed away, he had shared his last post on Instagram and X (Formerly  Twitter), updating people about his health after concerns raised over his hospitalisation in Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital on Tuesday, October 8.

In a post on social media platforms, the chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, one of India's biggest conglomerates, wrote that he remained in good spirits, quashing rumours about his health.

Expressing gratitude, he dropped a message for his social media followers, which read, "Thank you for thinking of me."

A Padma Vibhushan awardee, he had updated hat he was undergoing medical check-ups due to his age related ailments.

In the post he wrote, "I am aware of recent rumors circulating regarding my health and want to assure everyone that these claims are unfounded. I am currently undergoing medical check-ups due to my age and related medical conditions. There is no cause for concern. I remain in good spirits and request that the public and media respect refrain from spreading misinformation."

The Indian icon breathed his last at south Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital at 11.30 pm on Wednesday, October 9. He was admitted to the hospital for the past few days.

Condoling his demise, the Tata family issued a statement which read. "We his brothers, sisters, and family take solace and comfort in the outpouring of love and respect from all who admired him. While he is no longer with us in person, his legacy of humility, generosity, and purpose will continue to inspire future generations."

Tributes poured in for the industry giant from people from all walks of lives as nation mourned his demise.
