As per reports, the temple administration has launched a probe into the matter to verify the claims.

TDP spokesperson Anam Venkata Ramana Reddy in a press conference claimed that the adulteration had been confirmed by a  Gujarat  -based livestock laboratory, on the ghee samples provided by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which manages the famous Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple.

He displayed the purported lab report which apparently confirmed the presence of "beef tallow", “Lard” and “Fish Oil” in the given ghee sample.
The sample receipt date was July 9, 2024, and the lab report was dated July 16.

In response to such incidents, the Mankameshwar Temple has implemented a ban on offerings of prasad purchased from outside the temple. Devotees are now permitted to offer only homemade prasad or fruits.

In light of these claims, Naidu announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team to investigate the allegations of adulteration.
