New Delhi: A video featuring IAS officer Tina Dabi scolding shopkeepers during a cleanliness inspection in Rajasthan ’s Barmer has gone viral across social media platforms. Dabi, who recently took charge as the District Collector of Barmer, was conducting a sanitation assessment earlier this week as part of the city's cleanliness initiative.

During the inspection at Kisan Market, Dabi expressed her displeasure after noticing unsanitary conditions outside several shops. Furious at the sight of litter strewn across the market, she reprimanded the shopkeepers, warning them against improper disposal of waste.

In the viral video, Dabi is heard firmly instructing the shopkeepers, saying, "Don’t throw garbage in front of the shop; otherwise, I will get the shop closed. I will come again to check. There should be a dustbin in front of every shop. No one should feel ashamed of cleaning in front of their shop." Her strong message resonated immediately, as many shopkeepers were soon seen cleaning the area with brooms.

For the unversed, the cleanliness drive is part of Dabi's 'Navo Barmer' campaign, which she launched to enhance cleanliness standards across the city.

Under the campaign, Dabi and her administrative team have been conducting surprise inspections across various areas, enforcing strict rules on sanitation. Local officials have been directed to ensure that these regulations are followed rigorously to improve the city’s hygiene.
