Watch | Shocking hit and run case caught on camera in Gwalior, driver absconds

A bike rider was killed in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior after an SUV rammed into him on the road. The accident which was reported on December 14 at Barua Mod on Sitholi Road was captured on a CCTV camera installed at a petrol pump.

In the shocking video, the biker can be seen crossing the road when the car rammed into him from the left.

Sources say the impact of the collision caused the bike to stuck into the car and was dragged far from the accident site.

The deceased has been identified as Usman Khan alias Pappu who is a resident of Morena. After the accident, he was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered under IPC section 304A (causing death by negligence) against the driver who is currently on the run. He absconded right after the accident and the Police has launched an investigation to nab him, Niranjan Sharma, Additional Superintendent of Police, Gwalior told reporters.

The car which suffered serious damage from the collision was towed away and seized by Police.
