Wife Insists on Living Together, Husband Stabs Her to Death in Delhi; Arrested
The accused, identified as Gautam, was apprehended by a patrolling police officer while attempting to flee.
New Delhi: A 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife to death and leaving her body in his car in West Delhi's Rajouri Garden area, police officials said on Monday.

The accused, identified as Gautam, was apprehended by a patrolling police officer while attempting to flee. The incident came to light when Head Constable Ajay, stationed at Khayala Police Station, noticed Gautam wandering shirtless under suspicious circumstances at around 1:20 a.m.
Upon questioning, Gautam confessed to killing his wife, Manya, 20, and leaving her body in his car. Gautam further told the police officer that the ha and his wife had married in March without their families' consent but continued to live separately with their respective families and used to meet occasionally.
Case Registered at Rajouri Garden Police Station
On Sunday night, Gautam met Manya in a car in the Titarpur area of Rajouri Garden. According to police, an argument erupted between the two around 11 p.m. when Manya insisted they should start living together. In the heat of the moment, Gautam stabbed her multiple times. When he reliased that she was dead, he parked the car near the Shivaji College red light and attempted to escape before being apprehended by Head Constable Ajay.
The police have registered a case of murder at the Rajouri Garden Police Station, and they are verifying the details provided by the accused.
