Youth Allegedly Thrown Into Munak Canal In Delhi, Dies Of Drowning
In Delhi's Vijay Vihar, a student of class 12th, died of drowning after he was thrown into the Munak Canal in Rohini by a few other boys in the area.
New Delhi: In a shocking incident from Delhi, a class 12th student, died of drowning after he was thrown into the Munak Canal in Rohini by a few other boys in the area. The incident took place under the Vijay Vihar police station area, following which the body of the youth was fished out of the canal and sent to the mortuary for post-mortem.
A case was registered at the Vijay Vihar police station and further legal action was initiated. The deceased was identified as 21-year-old Vishal, a resident of Vijay Vihar Phase-1.
According to the Additional DCP of Rohini, the incident took place on September 24th, at around 11 pm, when a PCR call was received at the Vijay Vihar police station, wherein the caller stated that her brother was pushed into the Munak canal by some boys.
On information, the Vijay Vihar police of Rohini District immediately reached out to the caller, where she stated that her brother Vishal, a student of 12 class in a school of Rohini, left the house for school in the morning but had not returned so far. She further informed that her brother had been thrown into the Munak Canal by some boys in the area in the morning.
Immediately, a search of the missing boy was carried out in the Rohini district which revealed that the dead body of a young boy had been recovered from the Munak Canal and the same was preserved in the mortuary of a hospital. The dead body was identified as the deceased brother of the lady caller. The postmortem of the deceased was being done in the hospital.
Further legal action is being taken into the matter.
