Youtuber Rajat Dalal Booked for Rash Driving After Video Goes Viral
A senior police officer noted that Dalal, 30, has a substantial following, with 230,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.
Faridabad: The Faridabad Police booked Youtuber Rajat Dalal for allegedly driving recklessly a car on the Mathura road in Faridabad, according to a police statement on Saturday. The charges come after a purported video of the incident went viral on social media.
According to the complaint lodged by Sarai Khawaja police station Head Constable Mahesh Kumar, indicates that the video showed the driver driving the vehicle recklessly at a very high speed.
The complaint led to immediate action from the police, who, with assistance from the cyber unit, contacted Kartik Chhabra, the person who made the video.
Video Timestamp and Investigation
"Kartik Chhabda said that the incident took place on the Mathura road on February 25 and the video was made by him," the head constable said in his complaint.
YouTuber clarification
YouTuber Rajat Dalal responded on X, clarifying that the video showing him allegedly driving recklessly at over 140 km/h is not recent. He stated that he is ready to face any consequences if found at fault.
