Janmashtami 2024: Janmashtami will be celebrated on 26 August this year, with utmost joy and by the devotees of Lord Krishna. 

This day, also known as Krishna Janmashtami, Krishnashtami, Gokulashtami, Ashtami Rohini, Srikrishna Jayanti and Sree Jayanthi, marks the birth of Lord Krishna. 

On this day, devotees observe fast and seek blessings for the well-being of their family.

Now, as Janmashtami is just a few days away, banks will be closed on Janmashtami in cities as per the Reserve Bank of India’s holiday calendar.
