If you are planning to withdraw money from your Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) account, you can now apply for an online claim. However, before proceeding, ensure that your Universal Account Number (UAN) is activated and the phone number linked to your UAN is functional. Additionally, you need to verify that your Aadhaar, bank account number with IFSC details, and PAN are correctly seeded in the EPFO database.
Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you navigate the online claim process for EPF withdrawal.
To settle your EPF claim online, you need to fill out the appropriate form:
- Form 19: For PF Final Settlement
- Form 31: For PF Part Withdrawal
1. The date of joining and the date of exit must be available in the EPFO database.
2. The subscriber should not be employed in any establishment covered under the PF Act.
3. Two months must have passed since the subscriber left their last organization.
- The member's date of joining must be available in the EPFO database.
EPF subscribers can withdraw their account balance in advance under the following circumstances:
1. Housing Loan
2. Lockout or Closure of Factory
3. Illness of Subscriber or Family Member
4. Marriage of Self/Son/Daughter/Brother/Sister
5. Post Matriculation Education of Children
6. Natural Calamity
7. Cut in Electricity in Establishment
8. Buying Equipment by Physically Handicapped
9. A Year Before Retirement
10. Investing in Varishtha Pension Bima Yojana
The claim money is directly transferred to the bank account linked to your UAN. It is not permissible to receive the claim money in any other bank account. If the linked account is closed, you must update the bank account details on your UAN before proceeding with the withdrawal.
The authentication of claim submission is done through an OTP sent to your UIDAI-registered phone number. You will need to give permission to the UIDAI to share your e-KYC (Aadhaar) with the EPFO.
1. Login: Access the member interface using your UAN credentials.
2. Eligibility and KYC: Ensure you meet all the conditions of service eligibility and KYC requirements.
3. Select Claim: Choose the relevant claim type.
4. Authenticate: Verify the details using the OTP sent to your UIDAI-registered phone number.
5. Submit: Complete the online claim form submission.
By following these steps, you can successfully apply for an EPF withdrawal online, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
