Award-Winning Cake Artist Prachi Dhabal Deb Honored at Oxford University

In a grand celebration of Indian contributions and culture during India Week in the UK, Prachi Dhabal Deb, a renowned cake artist from Pune, was honored at Oxford University for her exceptional work with royal icing. This prestigious recognition marks her as the first cake artist to receive such an honor at the esteemed institution. Prachi was also felicitated by Navin Shah CBE at the House of Commons in the UK Parliament.

Prachi Dhabal Deb was born in Rewa ,did her schooling from Dehradun  and pursued her college studies in Kolkata. Throughout her illustrious career, she has achieved numerous milestones, including three world records certified by the London-based World Book of Records. These records include a 100 kg cake icing structure inspired by the Milan Cathedral, the highest number of vegan royal icing structures, and a 200 kg edible Indian-style palace crafted from vegan royal icing. Now residing in Pune, Prachi is a strong advocate for originality and innovation in the culinary arts.

"My belief is in pushing the limits of what is possible with vegan royal icing," Prachi shared passionately. "It's about proving that vegan alternatives can be just as grand and breathtakingly beautiful."
