The year 2 of Behtar India has been an incredible journey of 8 months to make India, a cleaner, greener and a healthier country. Focusing on the aspects of hygiene, health and environment, this campaign brought people together from different segments of life to work for a better cause and a better future.
This year brought together 11, 00,000+ students in 900+ registered schools along with 32,000 student volunteers in 200+ participating cities. In addition, nine companies adopted this as their CSR activity. It is because of their efforts and dedication towards this campaign that India managed to recycle 8, 00,000+ KGS of waste. From recycling waste to coming up with different and unique alternatives of plastics, this campaign managed to create an enormous impact on the environment. Additionally, throughout the eight city summits, panels of experts have discussed, analyzed and come up with solutions that address the city-specific environmental issues.
It is now time to reward these good doers for their constant efforts that they put in to make this campaign a success thereby creating an impact on their cities’ environmental conditions. Behtar India campaign has now reached its final juncture, the Grand Finale where we get together to honor and celebrate extraordinary contributions by our young change makers on 28th February 2019.
Initiated by the DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance, this campaign is a contest for schools and students, a CSR activity for the employees, a social service for individuals and an amplification tool for the municipal corporations. This campaign also helped the under-privileged children by providing them with an opportunity to receive free health benefits.
The campaign has served its objective in the true sense and it has been possible because of all the stakeholders of this endeavor. From the organizers to the school kids who participated, the contribution of every unit involved in this campaign has been significant. The Grand Finale is where we thank each of these stakeholders and award the stars of this unique collaborative social responsibility initiative.
