#BehtarIndiaFinale: Brand Ambassador, Parineeti Chopra Felicitates The Winners Of ‘Vatavaran'

The 28th of February 2019 marked the end of the journey of the Behtar India campaign which was going on since last 8 months to keep the cities clean by focusing on recycling and putting waste to better use.

The Behtar India Grand Finale, was an occasion that brought schools, students, corporates and citizens from different segments of society together to reward them for their hard work and dedication towards the three main aspects of Swasthya, Swacchta & Vatavaran.

The team of Alfatunes took over the stage to introduce and invite the Chief Guest and the Brand Ambassador of the Behtar India campaign, Parineeti Chopra. The anchor, Ritika Jhanji Jagtiani opened the floor for an interaction with the actress and singer, Parineeti Chopra, where students showed great curiosity and involvement in the activity.

While discussing the significance of cleanliness, pollution and plastic free environment, Parineeti highlighted how each of us have a role to make a Behtar India.

“Each voice is important. Even if one person goes out there and speaks for any such cause, there are at least 50 people who will listen and make some change in their lives.” - Parineeti Chopra

Former Indian cricketer, Mr. Atul Wassan was invited on stage to initiate the next segment of the award ceremony in the category ‘Vatavaran.’ The actress and the former cricketer felicitated the winners who participated in this noble campaign.

The winner in the category, ‘Vatavaran’ was:

  • Modern School, Barakhamba Road

The 1st runners up were:

  • D.A.V.Public School, Velachery
  • Shree Niketan Patasala, Tambaram

The 2nd runners up were:

  • Oakridge International School, Gachibowli
  • Vidyashilp Academy, Yelahanka
  • KIIT International School

The student who won the title of National Champion (Vatavaran) was:

  • Kalvakuntla Himanshu Rao (Oakridge International School, Gachibowli)

The students who were the 1st runners up were:

  • Mehul Aggarwal (Modern School, Barakhamba)
  • Rishabh Suar (Kiit international School)
  • Yug Vikram Jain (Vidyashilp Academy, Yelahanka)

The students who were 2nd runners up in the same category were:

  • Kavya Shah (DPS Bangalore North)
  • Naman Chandgothia (Birla High School, Moira Street)
  • Akshar Kumar Kolla (Vidyashilp Academy, Yelahanka)
  • Mrunmayee Thakare (Pawar Public School, Kandivali)
  • Manvi Jain and Aradhya Munjal (Modern School, Barakhamba Road)

The Behtar India Campaign was an initiative that brought together schools, students, corporates and citizens towards discussing the problems and solutions with an aim to build a sustainable environment and future. The objective was to catalyze progressive action towards a sustainable India, a Behtar India, through work in the fields of health, environment, and hygiene.
