The sapling of this school was planted in 1901 on the grounds of Rajasthan in the form of a ‘Pathshala.’ Today, Birla High School is not only the oldest but also premier educational institution in Pilani. The school has a significant contribution in making the city of Pilani as the ‘City of Education and a Centre of excellence’ in the field of education. The school boasts of its rich heritage and varied culture, sprawling, lush green campus devoid of pollution and chaos. The blocks on the campus are designed for maximum suitability and efficiency of the students. Affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, this school recognizes and encourages talent of all kinds and of all degrees to stretch the intellectual and creative capacity of individuals.

Education beyond classroom -

The activities create enthusiasm and interest among the students and play a very important role in the training imparted at the school. The school enjoys 8 football fields, 2 hockey fields, 6 practice nets for cricket, they also have 2 skating rings, and a standard gym. They also provide students with yoga, karate and even swimming. The mission of this school is to illustrate the inter-relationship of all human knowledge, to cultivate an appreciation of man’s creative skills, and to stimulate a concept of learning as a life-long process.
