This journey of One India with Facebook has brought out perspectives on important themes of sustainable economic growth, digital literacy, and fake news menace which will reach and empower the communities. This episode illustrates the story of Bhoopendra Kumar, who managed to bring about a change in the lives of Indian farmers with the help of his mobile application: Krishi Hub.

Krishi Hub helps in providing end to end tailored services to the farmers. This application helps to minimize the interference of the middlemen which in turn helps farmers to reach out to the consumers directly without wasting any product. The app guides and educates the farmers with the help of experts who can advise them. It also allows other farmers to share their experiences. The app acts like a social network for farmers where people can ask questions and get answers. Apart from that, the app also shows the prices of the crops and vegetables throughout the market along with the current rate of products. It also informs the farmers about the weather.

“Krishi hub was born with an idea to build an ecosystem in which we would try to solve all the problems of the farmers. We would not do that ourselves, it would be a plug-and-play kind of system that runs on technology, data, design and science.” - Bhoopendra Kumar (CEO, Co- Founder, KrishiHub)
