As a land of diverse cultures and religions, where at every 50 kilometers, the dialect and culture changes, India might see unity as a challenge. Known for its people, India is the 7th largest country in the world and is home to 1.3 billion people. With that diverse a composition, disparities in ideologies, way of living, opinions and perceptions are inevitable. But there exists something that binds us together beyond our cultural, religious and geographical boundaries; that is humanity.

Earlier this month nearly 40 Indian CRPF Jawans were killed. This incident had left the entire country in the state of mourning. But it also brought the citizens closer to each other and stimulated the feeling of unity. Amidst the collective feeling of rage, tension, and distrust, there was evident oneness.

#EkDeshEkHum campaign has beautifully added and highlighted this human inside all of us.

It aims to unite people from different walks of life, irrespective of their caste, culture, religion, by reminding us about humanity and patriotism again.

It is a message from 1.3 billion people of this country for all our respected leaders, assuring that no matter what this country goes through, we are facing, reacting and acting on this together as one unit.

Teaching the morals of ‘United we stand,’ this campaign managed to spread love and hope across the nation. The creative communication of this campaign strongly pushes out the togetherness of the citizens and their realization that unity is the happiest and the most powerful way forward.

Conceptualized by Mr. Praveen Kenneth, this campaign was issued under the interest of the public, to spread the message of “Stronger Together” among the citizens of this country. This campaign allows people to use social media platforms to share their message of unity.

“Unity in diversity is an old concept. But sometimes we need a reminder of it. If we don’t bring it to the center of the conversation, we often tend to forget it and digress. Sometimes we need a voice of reason to bring some sanity amid all hashtag wars. And it can come from an unknown place.” he said.

To remind us that strength lies in unity at a time when citizens of the country are overwhelmed with the recent army attacks, serves the campaign and its objective with complete impact. With India fighting back, the feeling of joy and victory is equally prominent across the country. It reiterates the fact that in both thought and action, the nation lies before all our man-made barriers.
