Vellamal School has its own student-formed eco club that ensures that the greenery in the school premises does not fall below the benchmark level. Plantation drives and awareness rallies are organized regularly to motivate students to be responsible and mindful about the environment. The school has also launched numerous Go-Green initiatives, under which they donate saplings to NGOs, orphanages and other bodies that are involved in environmental preservation.

Tata AIA Life Insurance Rakshakaran Hero initiative, in association with Republic TV promotes one of the simplest methods of protecting the natural balance in our ecosystems – planting a tree. Whenever a person buys a term policy from Tata AIA Life Insurance, the company plants a tree. So when you buy Life insurance to protect your loved one's future, Tata AIA takes a step on your behalf to protect the environment they live in.
