3D Artist Recreates Popular Cartoon Characters Leaving The Internet In Shock

The childhood of those born in the late 90's and early 20's was hugely influenced by cartoons. The Simpsons, SpongeBob SquarePants, Courage the Cowardly Dog, The Wild Thornberrys, etc. were some of the most popular cartoon characters of that time. An artist from China has recreated some of the most popular cartoon characters and the results are nightmarish. Miguel Vasquez who is a 3D artist represented some of the most renowned cartoon characters in a horrifying way. He has created sculptures of the animated characters giving them a humanistic appearance. Vasquez has uploaded the images of some of his creations on his Instagram page and the results have left the netizens awestruck.

The Simpsons

The Simpsons was one of the most iconic animated television shows of all time. Homer Simpson, the lead character of the show, is still popular enough among the netizens. In fact, the graphics of Homer Simpson is still widely used in GIFs and Memes. But this horrific human form of the character has left the internet in shock.

Courage the Cowardly Dog 

Remember Courage the cowardly dog? The protective pink pet of the old couple, who despite being scared of ghosts himself never failed to save his masters from ghostly creatures. Although the cartoon series had an eerie theme, the artist has doubled the creepy feeling by giving a horrific look to Courage in a 3D version.

The American animated series Phineas and Ferb depicted the story of two brothers who used to amaze their sister and friends with their scientific innovations. Vasquez has imagined the animated characters and here's the 3D representation of the cartoon characters: 

SpongeBob SquarePants

The aquatic life of SpongeBob SquarePants was amazing indeed. The yellow animated character has been given a human-like form by the 3D artist. He has also designed Bob's sidekick Patrick.

Ed, Edd n Eddy

Ed, Edd n Eddy was one of the most popular cartoon shows in history. The story of the American-Canadian animated series revolved around three friends Ed, Edd n Eddy, who took up adventure rides. Vasquez's depiction of the trio without any facial hair and other distortions have made them look really scary.   

Mike Wazowski

Mike Wazowski, the character of the 2001 animated film series Monsters, Inc. has also been recreated by the 3D artist. The cute little monster has got an actual monstrous look in Vasquez's creation.
